    Mine were zero. Did you use RO water? cuz I didn't and mine aren't even that high. It sounds to me like your tank is done I would highly suggest you read my thread saintsfan was a big helpe

    Well, I can tell you I put in a rock with a patch about 1.5" by 1" by .5 inch deep, and within two weeks it spread across my entire tank even deeper. It took about a month, then it just started slowly dying off.

    How can you tell the difference between golden algae and diatoms?

    Yeah but you can't rely on diatoms to guid you through yor cycle. His water (nitrites) are way to high for the cycle to be done

    i used tap water. im gonna test it everyday for another week make sure its stable

    Yea this is true mine tested zero. Nitrites ammonia and nitrates were all zero for mine.
