    Thanks guys. I think I'm going to stick to the timetable I had when I first started. I had planned to wait at least a year before moving to corals. Using the tie to earn a thing or two and to make sure I have my tank setup as needed. I don't think this one is going to make it. It is almost all white already.

    Hey guys, just a quick update. I believe this coral is officially dead. It has no more color at all and completely white. Is it ok to keep it in the tank or should I remove it?

    Also I have purchased some new lighting and a refractometer:

    48 inch 324 W T5 Aquarium light for Reef With Timer
    * Dimensions - 47.50” x 11.50 ” x 3.00”
    * Brackets add 2.25" in height
    * Supports 6 x 54W high output T5
    * Supports 10 x Bluemoon LED
    * Supports straight pin lamps
    * 324 W total power
    * Built-in Timer for automatic light settings
    * Black, non corrosive powder coated aluminum housing
    * Non-corrosive powder coated aluminum housing
    * Highly polished reflector
    * Contoured reflector
    * Cooling vents / cooling fans
    * Includes mounting brackets
    * CE Certified

    Listing includes:

    * 1x 48" T5 324 W high output w/Timer fixture
    * 3 x 54W T5 high output lamps 12000K
    * 3 x 54W T5 high output lamps Actinic Blue
    * 10 x LED

    I think this will suffice for any new corals (I did some research on this lovely forum and have read numerous suggestions to start with mushrooms and some other easier to care for corals). Any suggestions on the bulbs (keep the ones that come with it or replace them with something else?)

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    You can leave it in the tank if you like.

    Sounds like an excellent light fixture.

    Look to members 2in10 build thread, he has some nice bulb arrangements going on.
