ive never owned a koralia but from looking at the koralia pump and the modded maxijet id say the diffusion of flow is probably around the same. actually i kinda think the mod copies koralia design. did i mention the modded maxijet is very energy efficient like the koralia;D

ive allways thought marine depot to be quite exspensive with some things, especially pumps, but i guess my LFS's can get them cheaper or there whole-saler can, either way thats not a good price to pay IMO.

lol i have owned niether, thats just what i hear :), from what you say it sounds like there even?

btw are you sure that the powerheads the LFS gets are 5-8's
im sure the koralia is nicer, just because the maxijet wasn't made to be used like this. but i willing to bet their performances are comparable, of course you need to keep in mind were talking about the more powerful koralias, since the lowest flow that comes from a modded maxi jet is 1600 gph. but IMO the higher prices of the other pumps dont warrant the extra money

lol that was suppose to be, the slightly increased performance doesn't warrant the extra money.

btw i found out the maxijet uses 11 watts
    and the koralia use 10

What does that mean? 40 x 55 (gallons of my tank) per hour? is that "turnover rate"?

i like my seio also the only problem is its so heavy the suction cups don't hold it securely
