Unresolved Help me ID my Hybrid Angel Please.

    Yeah, I'd have to say he does behave very different than any of my other dwarf angels I had in the past. I had Coral Beauty, Heraldi, Potter's and a pygmy and they were all very shy.. When I had my face smeared on the tank they (angels in the past) would all hide and give me the peak out look inside a LR. This hybrid is as interactive as my clowns.

    I think you hit the nail on the head and then some.. I just did a google seach for Acanthurus pyroferus and came up on the picture below. Mine looks exactly like it with the exeption of the dark tail.

    34.. He was labeled as a "hybrid angel" I have a friend with a big tank but he has large tangs in there. You think the little guy will survive?


    I've never had a tang before.. No wonder he was so different from all the angels I had.

    I'd upgrade to a 75 gallon at least, they need more swimming room than a 34 gallon can provide:(
