though if you look at the tale its clearly different, yours has a round edge to it, my guess has a more pointy look to it

Looks like a tang to me...

However for the OP, Does it have a spine near the base of the tail fin or does it have a spike near the gills? That will be one giveaway for you... weather its a tang or angel.

The more I look at it its def a tang. My guess would be Acanthurus pyroferus, Mimic Lemon Peel Tang. They mimic Lemon Peel Angelfish. Reasoning being for this guess (that its a juvie as well) Is the coloration you can see around the gills is blue, and the tail fin has the adult coloring coming in as well as the face. I agree. The wife wants one, and I've been doing a lot of research on them...including side by side comparison at the LFS.

    Thanks guys.

I'll take a closer loook when I get home from work and maybe take a better picture? ::) The LFS I bought him from is a reputable one in LA and they just had it listed as Dwarf Angel Hybrid and said that it would only get to about 3 inches max. Right now its size is about an inch and a half max. If it's a tang I'd have to give it to a friend that has a bigger tank:bigcry:
