    It's a mithrax carb not reef safe will endulge most certainly on most soft corals but will also be one the menu in the reef system it's a dog eat dog world in there lol but if u wanna keep him put him where he will cause no harm to the beautiful environment you seek to create

    I have an ID already that is spot on, Eriphia scabricula. Mithrax crabs are usually safe when small and an effective algae eater for almost all algae including Bryopsis. They are not reef safe generally when larger. The Eriphia is housed in my refuge where it gets loads of algae to eat.

    Aren't emerald crabs mithrax? I have never had a problem with any of mine.
