    Hi,
Sometimes a freshwater dip for no longer than 2 mins will kill the ick. I've tried it and it does work but I've also had fatalities from ick so good luck. After product I know that has worked for me is called "no sick fish" but again you would have to wait to get it delivered.

Sorry to sound thick but how do you perform a freshwater dip? The ich is really bad now there must be over 20 or so.

To do the freshwater dip you just fill a bucket with RO (no salt) water bring it up to temp and catch your fish and put it in the bucket for 2 minutes and then catch and put back in the tank. The fresh water usually causes the ick to leave the fish.
HOWEVER, I missed the breeding part so I'm not sure what would happen.
ALSO, if the ick is free swimming in your tank you have no choice but to treat the tank to get rid of it.
