Your local hardware store should have 24 hour timers, either 30 or 15 minute increments. Should be $5.

    Yup.

    9 oz?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!
    There's your reason.

Because you're WAY overdosing and causing precipitation.

I'm guessing that's about 5-6x or more than what you actually need, unless your tank is over a thousand gallons.

So my tank is only using about 40ish ml but my hanna checker is saying other wise? I'm a little confused now.

So what size tank do you have and what corals?

This is heading in the direction of a very informative thread. Potential to help a lot of others.

Is there anything else you dose?
What is PH range throughout the day?

How much and how often are you doing water changes?
    What type of salt?
Anything else you can add to give us a good understanding of your system.

    Again, because you're causing precipitation.

You overdose Alk, precipitation happens (which makes Alk/Ca/Mg drop), you measure Alk and it tests low.

Well, after reading this and many other threads like it,
I guess a little trial on my part blessed me with just dripping Kalwasser and Vinegar in RO/DI daily, keeps my Ca, Alk, and Mg all in check in my heavily loaded mostly sps DT.
I do bulk dose some Mg every 3-4 weeks too.

I was trying to help by simply suggesting that you drip Kalwasser- basically a tried and tru method- as opposed to 2 part, pumps, timers, etc.

I check the big 3 ~ every 3 weeks, and it's always spot on.

I was blessed with not having to put dosing equipment/pumps in the closet- never had them.

And I know that it sounds like I'm trying to be a smart alec, but I'm actually not.
I used to think I know something.................
    But I now know...............that I don't really know anything.

I do hope you get it worked out soon.
