HELP!! Broken Sump!

    Looks like an easy repair to me. As sparky said except drill the piece you are using for the repair before "repairing".....

    So what kind of glue should I use. Is there something that is fast drying?

    I would just use silicone.

    I got you so drill the new piece then glue/epoxy in place. I'll try the step drill this time. I was going to buy one today but it was like $45 and I had a 5/8 so I didn't. Suddenly the $45 sounds pretty darn cheap.

    Don't just fill the hole. Cut some acrilic and use it as a patch. General rule for every inch of hole make shure you have 2-3in of patch to cover beyond it. I talked to a guy who makes his own tanks yesterday and said this is how he patched a crack in the bottom of his tank.

    they work great just dont push hard let the bit do the work

    I'll have to clean the hole out so I can accomplish what I set out to do which was install a float valve for my Auto top off. Do you think I should sandwich the sump with two pieces of acrylic? or just do one on the inside?
