I think I recently read a thread where someone had lost their whole system to one of these heaters going out... Seems like they now may have some leverage to fall on for getting something in return for their loss. Thanks for the post.

Unplug that puppy. Buy a different brand and when the new one comes, sell it on Craigslist or something.

 

I have been waiting on my replacement for over a month. They told me that it would take two weeks at most. I have a feeling that they will be getting another nasty call from me on Monday.

 

I call email every thing they say to weeks tops also I call and ask for the supervisor and thay say no her is a16 yearold kid that knows that is not how you run a business!! They also owe me a power cord for my led light that they said would ship out that day that was 6 weeks ago I know I will think agin next time I buy a marineland product

I got mine replaced by them,but at the time I was told it wasn't under the recall (the 50 watt stealth) and they couldn't be liable for any losses and would not pay for my tank crashing.
If it only lasted 2 more months.......sigh.

 

heh, well now this is interesting, I own three of these stealth 250's - I wonder if that is what has been the trouble? I have them on an 1800 watt power strip- it keeps shuting itself off, I think I now know why.

oh well, I will call them and get them replaced.
