Heater Malfunction

Yep, agreed, should be no prob.

 

Where did you order your heaters from. Same thing just happened to me two days ago and now my tank is at 72-73deg. Being I have a 300gal tank none of my LFS carry that high watt of heater. And what size should I order? The one I had came with the tank, so I have no clue what size it was.

 

Ordered from Amazon. I really am not sure on what wattage you would need. I bought 2 300 watts but my return has 40 feet to travel to my DT. I have been running 2 heaters for a while now and figured i might as well have a backup.

Received the 2 300w heaters yesterday, gotta love amazon sunday delivery, which i am slowly bringing my temp back up to 78. The second one also heated my WC water up very quickly making my WC process a lot quicker.

 

Make sure you put that heater on a controller like Apex. I killed my last tank with that heater. I was using the built in thermostat which will eventually malfunction..so don't trust that thing.

It is.. It's a special cold water species I caught by hand while I was in Alaska hunting wolverines.
