Happy clam??

    I got a Maxima clam a while ago well about 2 or 3 weeks ago. I tried to place him on the rock work but he kept falling down. So I finally just placed him on the sand bed till I could find a suitable spot for him. However, he attached himself to the bottom of the tank ie: the glass under the sand. 1. Does that mean he is happy where he is at? 2. Should I move him to another spot in the tank?

    If it continues to grow there, leave it be. You can cut byssal threads with a razor blade but that's harder on T. maxima compared to other clams.
