Hammer, Torch, or Frogspawn??

    I always thought that was the elusive ORA Halloween Candy Corn coral.

    Its strange, but euphyllias have to be THE most misidentified corals of the hobby, have no idea why.
    Grape and frogspawn, at least in a true scientific manner, are not synonyms. They are completely different species of coral with their own characteristics. Frogspawn is typically one of two species: euphyllia divisa, or euphyllia paradivisa for branching. Grape is euphyllia cristata. Both frogspawn or hammer can or cannot be branching depending on species, so that is a common mistake that people try to go to when ID'ing euphyllias. Hammer is euphyllia ancora, with branching hammer being euphyllia parancora.

    There are hammers that dont look like hammer ends--That looks like a branching hammer.

    That is a pink tipped frogspawn... looks almost identical to mine..
    My picture is significantly more crappy though
