does it looks like its splitting or dying?
Cant say for sure but if its eating I think that its gonna be fine. Have you change flow on it recently? lower flow might entice extension. looks better then mine the tentacles on mine are completely flat and deflated like they were cooked.
its been inthe same area since getting it back in mid-feb. only coral in the tank not happy. yea tentacles are just very shriveled.
Its not a very focused image Night- Rida
but what I can see doesnt seem to bad , there does not seem to be bald areas or visible skeleton - which would indicate coral was rotting
are you using carbon?
as you do have a number of softies in there that are producers of toxins (territorial weaponry)
if your parameters are good
if your flow is not to strong
if its been happy where it is since Feb
then it could be chemical warfare - which is not something that shows up on the test kits.
well I do see 2 mouths on it now instead off 1 mouth a few weeks back. there's a frogspawn, xenia and toadstool leather just upstream within 4-12" inches of it.
I use carbon too. I just took it out though and shut off my skimmer because I just added chemi-clean slime remover.
UPDATE: hammer coral is finally starting to come back around.. its about 50% inflated today.. by the looks of it hopefully by this weekend the splitting process will be completed.
what do you think fixed it?
FYI, this is from 2010
