    actually it didn't smell at all. what did smell atrocious was the sand bed. once it was time to remove it I started to dread every scoop.

    Next time you go to take down a tank and want to remove the sand go buy a shop wet dry vac. Remove the filter of the vacuum, drain all the water that you can, and suck up sand. I scooped my 55g by hand and was nasty. My 75g got a shop vac, sucked it up and was easy as pie. Worst part about it was I bought a 6g shop vac and had to keep making trips to dumpster, but would have had to do that anyway!

    Ha! yea that's a winning idea! It was rough getting it all out but worth it to have pretty new fiji pink.
