I also now realize my first post on this thread,

I was referring to when people just put a cone like strainer over the buldhead, not the initial look of this product.
This will pull/skim multiple times more water than a simple strainer cap.

That is my hope. Was going to wait til next week for my next water change, but I don't think I can wait that long. I will get it setup in the morning and report back.

Btw, the screws are stainless. Even checked them with a magnet and they did not stick.

They are not magnetic, doesn't that mean they're not stainless, but rather some type of alloy?
    Which should be OK/better too.

And, btw, you mentioned your reluctance to remove your bulkheads?

If the bulkhead was installed correctly- it should easily unscrew and come off- with the gasket on the inside, threaded nut on the outside- and no silicone in there either.

I'll certainly be logging on tomorrow to see a success!
Just get the fittings/height where you want it, do a power off test of you sump volume, etc.

Well I finally got it setup and running. Much quieter then my previous setup! Gotta say that if anyone has a non-reef ready tank and needs an overflow this is a great product. Here are some before and after pics.

Guess I can't post videos from photobucket so I will get those on YouTube and post in a little bit.

Wow!Well compared to your first setup this is certainly an upgrade!!That other one is much scarier. Please keep us updated as it "slimes" up.The holes in the top grate are much larger then they appear in the diagrams/ pictures.Do you have an ATO?

Do not have an ato. That is on the list though. Going to upgrade my return pump and powerheads first.
