guppy tank build

I will try to set it up tomorrow.
Here are my plans.
10 gal planted tank, these are links to the equipment I will use.
Walmart.com: Regent: For 5-15 Gallons Aquarium Power Filter, 1 ct: Fish
Walmart.com: Aqua Culture: Aquarium Hood Incandescent 10 Gallon Pets: Fish
Walmart.com: Aqua Culture: Aquarium Clear Light Bulb, 2 ct: Fish

This isn’t a regular guppy tank, it will be an all male guppy tank.
I do have one question, how many guppies will I be able to have in a 10 gal?

1-inch/gal is the general rule of thumb.

you can overpopulate it if you keep up on filter maintenance. just dont let a female get in there....

like anything else just take it slow. do your water testing as you add them and just make sure you can keep the params in check. if you got too many in there and are constantly fighting nitrates and the plants arent sucking up all the nitrate then you'll have to reduce the bioload.

 

The general rule for FW is one inch of fish per gallon if they are small fish. As far as I know guppys don't get any bigger than that so you should be fine with 10. Have you seen the tattooed guppys yet?

I saw some at the LFS yesterday. Some had stripes, some had hearts and some even had poka dots.

I don’t think a heart pattern is natural.
Tattooing fish is not unheard of
