2 Years ago I had 3 peppermint shrimp, of which one destroyed a tricolor frogspawn in 2 minutes and another did the same to a blasto colony. I swore them off for eternity!
However, I had a small aptasia infestation from a ton of corals. I let it get bad because my plan was berghia nudis... so in the process of ordering I remembered my Melarunus wrasse... boo.
I have 6 clams so a Copperband is out of the question... that leaves me with those nasty evil shrimp. They will eat my maxi mini, my gold torch, and my bubble coral, but if im lucky the might MIGHT just do thier job.

I had one. It was the nicest thing in the tank until it was eaten  Then I bought another one. It seemed like he was always on top of my zoas for the first month, but then it stopped. Now it leaves everything alone. The best of luck to you ;)

Melanurus eat Berghia's? I would think those peppermint shrimp would be more in danger then the Nudi.

they eat MEN and stuff, I figure he would eat ANY nudi. I know he devours red planaria, baby snails, pods, and such so... peppermints are cheap easy, and will probably be fine. He leaves my cleaner alone.

Every time i try to feed a krill no my BTA my Melarunus fights me for it, grabs it, and beats it against rocks lol. Make me a little nervous but I'll keep an eye out. I'm pretty sure he only eats 'bad' shrimp.

I hate all ornamental shrimp. I have had problems with almost all of them. Especially peppermints. Eaten duncans, and always picked on my acans.
