    These corals are hard to kill it takes effort to harm them . and if you have a loose section that is what I'd do just make 2 little patches , But be warned they will take over an entire tank. like a plague of green . I'll sell them to those who want them But I would not do so with out telling you about them.. . The main reason people have a time keeping them is they will not open at the slightest hint of algae or waste ever settles on them a simple cleaning with a old soft toothbrush and they will pop right open. But many won't do this and after a week or so of staying closed they will fade away

    I have harvested about 2sqr feet of these little buggers and thats been just a year and a half

    Its really not that bad to keep in check. Just peel the mat off and cut. Just don't get slack about it. Or, you can always place the rock in the sand, so they cant spread around. Just keep it clear of the other rocks and glass (yes it will spread and grow straight up the glass).

    Just started. They havent opend up anymore since i posted the picture. I think it will take bit.

    I got mine 4 days ago and it isn't opening up, so of course I am worrying about it. I keep researching to make sure it is OK.

    Has anyone done a post on the care of a Green Star Polyp?
