    mine was down to a few heads and looked healthy. they look great and then next day they die. look can be deceiving?

    Both mother colony and frag are doing well still as of this post. Phyto and oyster feast are being spot fed. Hope they stay that way.

    please forgive my ignorince but, what is the real difference between gonipora and acropora? could some one post a pic of a gonipora and an acropora. im just confused.

    Goniopora - each polyp has 24 tentacles
    Alveopora - each polyp has 12 tentacles

    wait what is alveopora? im so lost when it comes to sps coral.

    Alveopora and Goniopora (often called flower pots) are not SPS corals. They are Large Polyp Stony (LPS) corals. flowerpot corals - Google Search
