We purchased a frag of Green Birdsnest a few months back. While taking it out of the bag after acclimation it was dropped and broke into 4 even smaller frags. Well this is a pic of those frags two months later. They have quadrupled in size....

LOL, yeah, it just goes to show you that corals are not as fragile as some make them out to be...8)

I have two softball sized birdnests that started out as 2-3 little sticks. It's one heck of a fast grower. Is it just the lighting that's making the corals look a bit bleached or are they really that "white"?

I have always said people make these things out as for fragile and delicate But that some stuff they have read and set to memory ..Look at where they come from and how they multiply in the wild :) Its not a daycare nursery out there LOL .. Problem I find with most who can't keep corals is they mess with them to much with moving them and or always tweaking water or equipment..

    I couldn't agree more, Tang.....

Hey amcarrig, it is just the lighting. They are about 6 inches below the light. They are a neon green, when the lights go out tonite I will try to get another picture...8)

true true fish arent delicate with most corals when they rub against them and stuff and water current blowing sand and dirt all over them. they arent put on a reef protected by a force field.

Good to hear. This coral is one of the most stunning sps corals I have ever kept. I posted pics of one of Tangster's and my birds nest not too long ago.
