    My betta will try to kill anything I put in it's tank. I wouldn't try to mix a betta with anything unless you know it's temperament.

    Even though I don't know much about freshwater, I once did have a tank whith discuss but found that guppies or others don't make a good match. But I suggest to listen to those who have more experience or check the internet.

    Never put a betta in a tank with other tankmates... you will regret it, 'cause it really is extremely agressive and would start picking at the other fish and probably eventually kill them. JMO.
