I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this. So forgive me if it's not.

I'm probably gonna be working a lot of overtime over the next few weeks, so I won't be able to get to the LFS for epoxy. So, aside from reef epoxy, is there anything else that I can "glue" my rocks together with? Will silicone work, or anything else along those lines?

If ya can get to a Lowes or Home Depot, ya can get aqua meld, its an epoxy, just make sure it says, "safe for potable water" or "safe for aquarium, there are 2 versions I think, just like JBWELD, or ya can buy acrylic rods and drill your rocks and use those to secure.

Found enough time to get to Home Depot about 15 minutes before they closed tonight. Picked up some JB Water Weld. i just put it on 2 rocks. We'll see how well it worked in the morning.

Honestly, I can't remember right now. I know it says safe for potable water, just not sure about the aquarium part. I'm at work, so I can't look either. Many ppl on several forums have told me that they use the JB Water Weld and that it is safe for aquariums though.

Why risk it? Use something specifically for the intended purpose. Safe with added peace of mind :)

Update! JB Water Weld worked like a charm. The 2 rocks are firmly together. Tonight, after church, WE 'SCAPE!
