Ok, i got a ton of sand from my reef tank.. my kid is crying (literally) for glowfish. I got a 29 laying around, Im planning on using the sand, a bunch of plants, and rocks.

ok will the sandbed (2") work with a freshwater tank? I got one in the reef tank now. Im thinking about using snails to stir up the sand (what kind)??

will the aragonite raise the calcium and ph level to high for danios or tetras? I am hearing arguments for and against it..

all i know is I can get him into it, then move him to reef soon..

why not a cichlid tank? Green terrors, jacks, or any of the lake malawi cichlids would do good to have an aragonite bed. I've got a 75 gallon planted 4" sand bottom tank for two 3" oscars that seems to do well with pool filter sand. Amazon swards seems to take off in the sand.
