    I used a Deep Blue Triton and highly recommend them. A triton 5 would work perfectly in this setup and not have to be throttled back. Very quite and efficient. Oh yeah and cheap to boot.

    im running a rio hf20... i dont think the flex pipe vs rigid pvc will make a difference. by flex pipe i mean "spa flex" or "flex pvc"... and i am just running 1 inch poly to a "y" which splits to 3/4.

    do you guys think a Mag9.5 will work if i reduce it down to 1 inch to fit the refugium?

    ...not to hijack this thread but I just snagged a Triton 4 this weekend.
    Still not hooked up yet but I really haven't found much for reviews on them.
    My LFS was happy enough with theirs to recommend them over some of the higher priced "standards" that everyone uses.

    I can't recommend it enough. If they made one that could handle what I need now I would buy it without thinking twice.

    still debating a pump for the 2x 1 1/2 inch drains rduced down to 1 inch to go into the fuge would a MAG 9.5 be too little at 4 to 5 ft of head pressure? or should i use a quiet one 4000 which is a little over 1000gph

    Mag 12 be better choice than a 9

    How many gallons is your Display Tank and how many gallons is your sump?

    DT 220 sump around 35 gallons.
