    nah i mean upgrade the lights, skimmer, powerheads, test kits, etc. start with fish and upgrade from there;)

    my point is if you go big enough, like 40b or 55 to start with you won't have to upgrade. I started off too small

    +1 at least get a decent sized tank to start and worry about the rest later. Get a good RODI and refractometer though;)

    Yes...that's why I would rather go a bit bigger to start off with, rather than having to redo. And I read somewhere on here that having a bigger tank means that small changes won't have such drastic effects.

    absolutely correct. that being said, so long as you do water changes regularly and don't try to get too fancy too fast you shouldn't have a problem. take it slow, test your water religiously, and do water changes. I don't have an impressive tank (yet!) but I thoroughly enjoy it each and every day.

    yeah get the tank and get it wet with RODI water, then research save and learn;)
