Hello, any of you ever have a fungia plate die and come back a while later by producing multiple babies? I know this may not always happen and conditions need to be right. But if it did, how long did it take for your plate to make babies after it lost all it's flesh?

I have heard it can take some time. On another forum this happened for a guy completely out of the blue and if I remember right was almost a year after the plate died.

Thanks, that's what I thought. Well, hopefully I'll have dozens of pinwheel plate coral within a year.

So did it just die out of the blue?
I have heard about them leaving babies.

No, it got damaged and never recovered. Been a skeleton for a few weeks now.
