Split a line with a ball valve from the DT to the sump and have the fuge higher than the sump and let it gravity feed to the sump is one option.

well there is several ways to do it. to get the most benefit of the pods, you would need to have fuge higher than display in order to gravity feed directly into display. but that can be difficult to do sometimes.
either way you will have to have some type of overflow for the 5 gallon tank. either drill the tank or use a overflow box.
so, water would flow from display to sump to fuge back to display.....
or, water would flow from display then split off to fuge and sump, then from fuge to sump back to display

As everybody has said, You will need to either drill the 5 gallon or get a hang on the back overflow for it, or mount it inside your 20 gallon so the water can overflow the fuge into the tank.

Now I would not suggest drilling a 5 gallon tank, they have very thin glass and are very easy to break (if it is glass).

    Very very true.

I have drilled quite a few 10's for people, but I only know of one that is still in use without having the bulkhead broke out of the glass.......
