    it was in a high flow area, but not enough to rip it apart. I then moved it to a super low flow area for it to recover. I hope it does. The flesh at this point is almost all gone.

    High flow will rip the flesh off. I would be willing to bet thats what happend. Leave it in very low flow and when ur feeding just squirt a little mysis at it once in a while and it should come back. They are extremely hardy and will grown fast.
