    That's my theory, get him vested in this tank to learn. I did talk him out of a dinosaur hatching from an egg decoration! lol, and some live plants will be going in there with a cory cat and some ghost shrimp. So other than that, what else is needed to help with maintenance? He can have his ugly fish, but daddy is going as low maintenance as possible!

    my first tank was a ten gallon with black gravel and blue and red plastic plants:) my fish didn't live very long lol.;p

    Yeah with my RODI i just plan on swapping out 3-5 gallons a week while doing my reef.
