    yes, thats perfect actually, slow and steady will give you a clean cut.
    clamp it in a vice if possible to hold it steady while you saw.

    Tin snips would probably crack the plastic. If you have a hacksaw, go easy, and sideward pressure could break it. The best way would be to use a Dremel with a cutting disc.

    Great job! very clean looking :)
    now when you want a larger rack you can just superglue a piece of egg crate directly to that and your all set.
