    Why, hello there.

It's been a while since I've posted here. Used to have a 40B, had to move to a rental and downgraded to a 5 gallon pico. Never really put too much stock in the new pico, kinda just have it as a temporary thing until I return to glory, but now I think I'd like to put some serious effort into it.

Anyway, I was thinking it would be cool to generate a gentle wave action in the tank. I'm wondering if that is a legitimate thought or if I'm completely bananas.

    Experiences? Thoughts? Questions? Comments? Thanks!

I don't see why not, just keep in mind most of the time a gentle standing wave doesn't actually do much in the flow department.

So, Va Reef, let's say you were being paid to come up with a plan for such an idea...

    Where would you start?

    What's my budget?

Obviously I'd like to see an mp10QDw and maybe a beefy return pump for extra flow. But, not everyone is comfortable buying a powerhead that costs more than the tank itself. If you're trying to stay cheaper, I'd find the smallest jebao RW series and call it a day. It's not necessarily hard to get the wave, just need the right pump.

Thank you. That's exactly the info I was looking for.
