I'm setting up a 75 gallon mixed reef, I want to know if anyone can give me some tips on flow, I currently have a Koralia 550, 750, and 1050, and a aqueon 1250, eventually ill upgrade to vortech or maybe even those new Jebos, but for now that's what I'm working with, how should I place them in my tank? This is the tank(shown with the Koralia 750 and 1050).

I'd keep them close to where they are but move them towards the rear of the tank then have them aiming at the front top middle of the tank.

And it depends on your landscape as to where to put the 550

Not a bad placement I agree. Maybe a little higher if you stack your rocks high. Do not aim them at each other but parallel to each other and slightly pointed toward the surface. I would use the 550 to eliminate any dead spots. The 750 and 1050 should be enough for a mixed reef.

Those are new and I would wait to see what the consensus say first.

Have an extra current light fixture that someone wants to trade me a Mp10w for, what do you guys think of an mp10 in a 75 gallon?

I'd do it,it would be an upgrade from on of the koralias and if you find later that you want more(mp40 or other) it would be an easy sell.

I would get an MP40 over the MP10 for that size of tank. I know the price difference is quite a bit, but thats what I would want.

This is just one thread, from my States Reef society, that discusses this powerfan. It has mention and links to many other threads, from many other countries.
Apparently, it runs off a DC converter, and people have already figured out that an inexspensive DC controller, like a universal Laptop power supply can make this a variable speed motor! Everyone seems to really like it!

This thing looks like it! Better flow, adjustable head, low cost.

They say they will have a smaller version in May, a wp25?

And Talk about opening a can of worms!
Oh, and NO YOU DIDN'T ask about power head placement!!
    J/K ;-)

When I get some more disposable cash- I'm going with ONE wp40 on my 125 mixed reef. All the posts, videos say that's all you need. Maybe one other smaller Korallia or something for any ackward dead spots.
