So, I have a very sad Flame Angel story and I was woundering if anyone had some advice. I have had my angel for 4 months and woke up one morning to find him dead. He showed no sign of illness and was eating just fine. All the other fish are healthy and no show no sign of illness either. So I went and bought a new flame angel and he died in 3 days.

My tank is a 75 gallon
    125lbs of rocks
    blue hippo tang
    yellow tang
    2 maroon clowns
    mandrain
    2 deminsals
    2 cleaner shrimp

    amonia 0
    nitrite 0
    nitrate 10
    temp 77 degrees

flame angels are hard fish to acclimate. Do you know how long the LFS had them and if he was eating.

i had a flame angel and kept it very easy
but i know they are hard to keep
when the store got him in i payed for him straght away
and asked the store to keep him untill i was happy that he was feeding well and looked good
i went to the store every day for 3 weeks at diffent times untill i was happy with him
when i got him home i did not let him out the bag for 3 hours and i tested the water in the bag too my water i made sure both the water in bag and in tank was same then i let him go
he did very well and had no problems with him untill he started bullying my other fish at night and i had to move him on

my first flame was eating everything i put in the tank; shrimp, seaweed, pellets, garlic.

i don't know if my second one was eating at the store because I bought him right when they got him in a shipment.

thought it would be better to only acclimate him once

That sucks, especially that you will probably never know what happened. Good luck with future fish.
