I think it's stress, or could be your gramma picking on him and you just don't see it. Grammas can be a little aggressive to new additions sometimes.

Did you notice the white stripes before or after you turned the lights off?

 

The stripes came up more with the lights off. My Gramma never ever comes out, ever. The poor little wrasse is just flopping around from side to side

 

Awww poor thing.

Sometimes my wrasses have the white stripes after the lights have been out and disappear as soon as I turn the lights on and they start swimming around. But the flopping doesn't sound too good.

I really hope he pulls through. I don't think there's anything you can do for him except try to keep his stress levels as low as possible.

 

And... He is dead...
