finally got some water in. its been slow progress. the rest of the family voted on coral inserts from living color in florida since this is a fish only tank. hopefully will be here by the end of the week. along with the fish in the picture i am adding some more chromis and a aussie tusk.

i know i am going to get some bad vibes about the inserts but its what the family wanted and the fish i have are not coral friendly. still have to plug some in but i think it turned out ok.

its been awhile since i posted on this project. its almost done. i have one more photon light to add from an existing tank, but i have to sell the tank first. running a lifereef overflow into a 20 gallon high tank with a 7" sock assy. and a aquaripure nitrate filter. i think i am leaving the emp 400 power filter in place as a chemical filter for carbon and phosgard. my wife wants to eliminate the light rack and put a wood canopy on instead. not sure yet. so here it is so far.

I like the idea of a wood canopy, gives it more of a finished look, elegant :)

The inserts actually look good, very colorful.
