    I'm spliting some mushrooms up.... any thing I should know or do with them to insure success?

    They will regrow from anything left behind after cutting them off the rocks.

    I've seen videos of people cutting them into quadrants through the mouth. They will shrivel up for some time, but will grow back nicely. 2in10 is right though, they are near impossible to kill. I poisoned a few and they melted to near nothing. They grew back to their original size in about a month.

    Haha. Well we will see how that goes. I just did halves instead of four different pieces.

    It is not as hard as it sounds. Really the only corals I ever worry about are lps like favias, acans, and scolies, because I do not have a frag saw, and the polyps are so close. Sps, and softies are cake if you have the tools. The challenge with shrooms is holding them down while they attach over the next few days.
