Would a firefish get along okay with a yasha goby? This would be for my 90 gallon. I already have a pair of firefish and am thinking about adding a yasha goby and shrimp pair.

I'm worried because the body shape is similar and they both have the big spike fin.

    thanks! :)

I would think you would be fine because of the tanks size... and how many hiding places you have. :) if you get the yasha, get a pistol shrimp for it to be friends with!

I think they'll do well together. Even though they have a similar body shape, they swim in different sections of the tank. Btw gobies aren't the most aggressive fish, so I think you'll be fine.

Okay, I was just worried because my male firefish beat up on the girl pretty bad for awhile. But he seems to have calmed down, plus that was the whole becoming a mated pair business.

    Thanks!

I think you will be fine. Yasha gobies are cool fish, the tank is large enough, and neither are really aggressive. They will find their own homes.

yea they will be fine especially if you get a shrimp/goby pair. the goby is not really an active swimmer and will take up residence and hide in the hole the shrimp makes, so i doubt your firefish and goby will even see much of each other, you won't be seeing too much of that goby either unless the burrow faces the front lol

Yeah, that's what I'm worried about lol. I think watching the interaction between the goby and shrimp would be awesome, but I also don't want a fish I'm never going to see....lol...
