1st. The tank was without a sump for about 5-7 hrs.

2nd. I personaly had a pump to circulate the water and a air stone. I didnt see a big swing with the temp, so I didnt have a heater, but I do recommend one when doing the transfer.

3rd. I might exp. a small cycle, but I dont think its going to effect anything and thats if it happens. Luna

Very nice, Luna! :) Good work!!

Is that a UV sterilizer I see in the skimmer section?

And a question.. . . does the mud or kitty litter or clay in the fuge serve any purpose other than a substrate to hold the roots of mangroves or other macroalgae?

No UV filter, I havent had one in a while.

Fiji Mud is unique in its ability to release essential minerals and vital nutrients that will allow hard and soft corals to flourish whether you are starting a new refugium or topping up your existing one. This product contains all the major and minor trace elements as they naturally occur as well as an elaborate network of 5-100 micron size organisms that are critical for the success with Acropora and other small polyp stony corals.

    Thanks Luna

First time using it. Most ppl dont like using it b/c of two reasons. 1. its too expensive and 2nd your "supposted" to changed out the mud once a yr. Luna
