    I'm actually using a 16w flood light rated at 6500k. It actually is working alright...I can see that my HC is shooting out runners and everything is going as expected.

    Interesting with the ammonia leaching

    Dosing the excel and flourish should help get the plants growing with your jello CO2 and hopefully help with the ammonia.

    Yeah, a buddy of mine switched from eco-complete to amazonia and he was telling me it was crazy the amount of ammonia it was leaching. And it's doing the same with mine too...so we'll see.

    I've been noticing the last couple of days that it's started to smell funky. This started happening ever since I put the blyxa in. Any ideas?

    Check the blyxa to see if anything is rotting. Make sure and check the roots.
