Did you let is run for an hour or so and let the production water go down the drain?

Hope so I would not use that water as the membrane needs breaking in.

started mixing salt yesterday ... it mixed clear in about 18 hours. now that i added it to the tank it looks like skim milk in there :(

i am in the process of mixing the next 24 G but my RO is super slow

i am hoping once my skimmer arrives it will clear up the water

What is your water presure at? if below 40 psi you will need to hook up a pump feeding the ro membrane.
What is the ro membrane rated at? GPH that is?

not sure what my pressure is ... the RO membrane is advertised at 100GPD... i am making 2 GPH now after i siliconed a leakey joint so i guess if i could run this all day .. i would only be getting 48GPD ... if it makes a differance i am using a faucet hook up

Temp and pressure of source water is a HUGE deal. If you don't know what your local muni water district runs at, give them a call or buy a pressure gauge for your unit. If your too low or cold, your product water gpd is going to be much lower then the unit is rated at. IMO a pressure guage is a must.
