    You may have a small problem keeping the micro algae alive as there is no nutrients in the tank right now for them to consume.

    That was my though up till yesterday...the brown diatom algae has started...:-[

    So, cycling is under way...

    I'm wondering about breaking up the larger pices of live rock into chuncks about 3 to 4 inches.

    This way, it would stack better (I could get more of it) in the sump and out of the refugium.

    But, that would leave less room for the snails & crabs to move through it...

    But, it would add more surface area for the pods to breed in...

    Humm...

    The macro algae arrived from Reef Cleaners this week:

    Also, on the top side of the pic you can see some of the Garf Grunge (live sand) that I added this week as well.

    The Lab section is coming around and is very functional. I'm liking the lighted "magnifying glass on a stick". It is sure easier on these old eyes.

    I like the lab section too. Where did you get the peg board your using??? I could use some of that. :)

    Agreed. Very cool.

    I was thinking the same thing. These blue shelves look meant for this.
