    That's exactly what the LFS said. Fortunately all my rock is on the bottom. They have a few tunnels already. Here is a small video I made after lights out. They seem to be more active at night.

    Mine rarely comes out in the day. He peeks his head out durning feeding but that's about it. Much more active at night. Here's a pic when I had a sighting during the day.

    My five year old loves them. She is the one that has staring contests with them all the time. They do come out during feeding. They grab food and throw it in reverse back into the tunnels. They are quick.

    I kept two engineers over the course of like 15 years.....other than looking super cool, they are extremely hardy! They are definite tunnel makers so your rock does need to be secure - great fish!!
