i started it out on top. it was under biocube lighting. shoulf i move it down?
No clue in honest, Im not to familiar with SPS.
well poo. i found a white spot or two on it right now. not very big but on the outer ring. any idea what i should do?
Pretty sure advancing corals to the top of the aquarium to fast bleaches them... I personally would move it down a bit. I know Steve when he added his SPS on his one thread moved them from a lower spot in the aquarium up gradually over a few weeks, and he kept great color.
could it really bleach that fast? well ok. how far down do you think?
Well My monti is in a higher spot in the tank, but id sy about 15 inches from the light. and It still bleached, However when the actinics are on. boy is it neon green.
mines thirteen or fourteen inches away from the lights. i can move it to 18 inches or put it on the bottom of the tank
I know you can find info on here about Light acclimation to acroporas, Trying to see if anyone posted about montipora light acclimation.
cant find much about it. i might just leave it and if it looks worse in a few days ill move it down. that sound good?
Sounds like a plan! Best of luck!
