I feed mine two dime size piece of shrimp every 3 to 4 weeks. I go to Kroger and get one piece of fresh shrimp so that I know there is no additives in it like frozen foods have. And yes they laugh at me every time I ask for 1 shrimp. One of the workers knows me now and he doesn't even have to ask when he see's me.
I cut the shrimp up and let it soak in RO/DI water for about 20 minutes then I feed with with a set of stainless steel forceps. Never touch the mantle with your hands, if you have to move it then make sure you let it close up and you touch the skeletal base only.

Otty, are the tentacles longer on yours because of flow?

Don't really know, I just feed mine shrimp.

I really don't know mission, I think it is a sign of being healthy because the tentacles will shorten up if the NO3's go up or if I need to change the carbon. I will try and get a pic of it next time it happens to show you the difference. It also wads up when I harvest out of the fuge too.

Don't forget to pick up some test kits too, that point has been lost in the thread!! I only trust Elos/Salifert to my tank, I want to know for myself what everything reads. Just a thought. Now back to elegance digest! :)
