    If I go this route, I plan to make my own body/case to mount the strips in. They will be matte white and two of them will hang over the tank.

    Ahh I see that now. That's actually not too badly priced. I was going off of the old pricing.

    But for the same money, I'm going with 2 AI Sols that can do dimming and ramping with built in controllers.

    Without reflectors just the two modules plenty of light for my fish only for $200

    From my understanding the RGB's do not do as well color rendering as a dedicated diode. Similar to how when designing a DIY its best to use single spectrum diodes in various quantities.


    I will say that for lighting large tanks these units are not cost effective. Under 100 Gallons however I think they're great. They allow continuous upgradability for a very reasonable investment each time. Another bonus is that the panorama's and 6 watt stunners utilize the same mounting hole spacing. This is especially awesome if you are building a custom housing for them like me! Woot! Pics forthcoming.
