i think thats what matt just posted.
actually they are prices pretty reasonable. AIs are only a little bit cheaper.

It has me thinking about the green crees now. Hmmm. That's definitely a nice unit, and if I were going to pay the money for an off the shelf fixture, this one definitely wins imo.

Here is my feelings now that I can comment

    Premium Features
    • 5-channel control of color and intensity, 6-channel capable - nice for future upgrades
    • 8x Cree XP-G Cool White LEDs run at 5w each - would have preferred to see the more efficient XM-L
    • 8x Cree XP-E Blue LEDs run at 3w each - would have preferred to see more royal blues (or maybe violet) maybe opting for 4 of these instead of 8 since they are necessary for RGB.
    • 10x Cree XP-E Royal Blue LEDs run at 3w each - Would have preferred 14
    • 4x Cree XP-E Green LEDs run at 3w each - needed for RGB
    • 4x Osram Oslon SSL Hyper Red LEDs run at 3w each - needed for RGB
    • RGB LED configuration allows infinite color possibilities - seems to be the new move of high end fixtures.• Integrates wirelessly with VorTech pumps and other Radion fixtures - I smell a more advanced controller coming...
    • USB Connectivity - Mac and PC?
    • Computer configurable advanced settings - Mac and PC?
    • Compatible with EcoTech Battery Backup - why would you need the lights on a battery back-up?

^ I definitely agree with the comment(s) in regard to the number of blues/royal blues.

This is just what I expected, and more. :) Lots of light, modular, RGB, connectivity with computer and vortech pumps. Sounds great for $800. I sure wish I had money right now. lol.

I think thunderstorms would be the most likely use of light and pump connectivity.

Real thunderstorms would be the reason for the battery connection. Will keep your lights from flashing during a second or two outage. Keeps the fishies happy, I would assume.

I was going to end up building a couple more DIYs, but this really has me rethinking that.

The battery backup could be for keeping settings stored. My ai has a built in battery that can last for 5 days or something like that.

Not sure about you, but everything I own on power supplies aren't effected like things directly plugged into AC, as far as flicker from storms goes. But then again we don't get many storms that produce much energy like yours do :)
