The carbon and BP reactors are parallel, they feed into the skimmer.

This should stop any need to tinker with valves frequently.

Just wanna clarify for everyone. Reefwerks/Jonathan Hirsch is not anyone you want to do business with, for any reason. I wouldn't trade him a penny for a quarter he has showing you! BUT, from the thief I did end up with this little guy, that seems built great, the rest of the crap I got, not so much. I repeat steer clear of him, that's me being as restrained as I can, normally when mentioning him, there are alot of words not appropriate for 3reef;)

Just updated the graphic, everything is running parallel into the skimmer. As the pellets gain weight from the bacteria I'll just increase the GPH to improve the tumble. Also I can keep the system running while changing carbon.

I might add another gate valve onto my skimmer line before it enters the skimmer, this will stop any water coming back when changing the carbon.

Haha thanks! I wish the skimmer was smaller but it looks like it will do the job very well.

This project should start in a few weeks, I need to figure out my plumbing situation first.

Because I need to have the skimmer up high for proper drain I figured why not make a tower of reactors and skimmer. And yes I will have a check valve for security.

Are the reactors themselves holding each other and the skimmer up or will there be some sort of structure?
