I am honestly open to any ideas, but I picked the MJ1200 because everything still feeds into the skimmer at the end.

I don't think I'll need a lot of GPH to tumble the small amount of pellets ill be using.

    What do you guys think?

What gallon per hour would be good? I hear the Mag 5/7 have heat issues and well in a cube that's not good.

You don't have to go mag drive. But something in that 500-700gph rating may be necessary.

You can get rid of your current return and make this pump handle that as well to cut down on heat/noise.

I might be going that route, less noise and heat would be great.

    Thanks for the help

Go bigger. I have a mj utility 1100 running 200ml, and they're barely tumbling. I need to get a stronger pump :-/

I'll look into a larger pump Tuesday, is there anything else I should change?

Looks good, as long as you're aware of the constant tweaking to the flows you might have to do. As the biopellets accumulate biomass, their tumble will slow, forcing more flow than desired to the carbon reactor. Or, if the sponges in the carbon reactor start to accumulate crud, this might force more flow towards the biopellets.

Bottom line, anytime you put reactors in series or parallel, you'll see flow fluctuate a little. Probably will not matter too much though... ::)
