I would get a larger clam if possible. Small clams tend to not live very long in most tanks.
+1 on that. at least 4"!
hey clamsondemand i was wondering where you get your lights from if you don't mind sharing cause they look outstanding.
I'm really interested in this discussion as I've been looking in to getting a small clam of my own. Keep going guys!
Don't take this as advice. In fact, knowing what I do now I would have waited 6 months. But having said that, I got my first clam about 3 weeks after I set up with no problems, and all three of mine are growing fast.
I purchase them in bulk from a manufacturer in china. I wrote you a private msg with the details.
Earliest for me was day 3 (4" maxima.) Aquarium broke so I got a knew one. I cycled w/ mb7 and vodka for 2 days. It's really not recommended at at but it worked okay.
I am getting a 2 in. for really cheap ($30) Should i get him?
I would pass.
What if it is really healthy and everything looks good on him?
